Thakkarsons Roll Formingdesigns all tooling required
in the processing of your parts. We use speciallyimported
German Software Copra for designing, and analysis of
roll formedsections

What
is Roll Forming ?
Roll forming is a
progressive process in which a coil of steel is shaped
by a series of rolls. Each shape will have a different
set of rolls. Each roll slightly changes the shape of
the steel. When the steel reaches the end of the line,
the desired shape is achieved.
Roll forming produces high quality products quickly
and inexpensively compared to traditional press operations.
Roll forming is ideal for producing long shapes. Almost
any bendable material can be formed. Two materials can
even be formed together to form one shape.

Forming v/s. Extrusion
Roll forming
can be used to form all kinds of metal, not just aluminium.
Secondary operations such as notching, punching and
post painting can be eliminated.
Thinner cross sections can be produced. Practically
any length can be roll formed.
Roll forming v/s. Brake
Forming
Roll forming is a high speed production
process that can produce uniform cross sectional dimensions
throughout the length of the part. Different lengths
can be made without trim scrap. Roll forming can eliminate
multiple stage operations. Slit edges can be edge
rolled to reduce the risk of accidents.
The
Flowering of a Form
Roll forming is unique among
all methods of forming metal. The most intricate of
one-piece forms emerge from progressive roller dies
in a process called "flowering". A flat
strip of metal progressively takes on the most complex
configuration in this process.
Roll forming presents the designer with the utmost
flexibility, frees him from standard designs, and
frequently eliminates costly subassembly and fabrication.

Roll Forming purchases only prime metals from
top quality vendors of flat rolled materials like
Tisco, Sail, Lloyds Steel, Essar, Jindal, lspat
andBhushan Steel. We have the flexibility of working
from either coils or sheet forms.
By slitting sheet stock and welding the panels
together, we can produce our own coils required
form roll forming. This capability allows small
quantity production and shorter lead times. Below
